Fundraising through Community Support and Bookstall Initiative

The Durbanville Quad Centre relies on various fundraising initiatives to sustain its operations. One such initiative is our monthly bookstall. Over the years, the center has received more than 2000 books from the caring Durbanville community.

Unfortunately, many of these books are stored in an old, rundown, and leaking Wendy House. Our goal was to save enough money to purchase a pre-owned storage container to secure a much-needed, albeit small, income from our monthly bookstall. However, this long-term plan had to be put on hold because the center’s immediate survival takes precedence for the sake of its 12 residents.

Monthly Bookstall at Durbanville Presbyterian Church

On the first Saturday of every month, you can find us at Durbanville Presbyterian Church on Hafele Street. Additionally, we’re at Huis Andries Olivier every second Saturday.

Our books are not priced, but any donation from our patrons is welcome and greatly appreciated. We invite you to come and support this worthy cause, and perhaps discover some books you’ll truly enjoy.
